It all started in May 2003 (as I recall) when I met (not only see) John Travolta (Yes! The Hollywood Star) in one of the dance parties I attended in LA, USA following which i saw “staying alive” back in hotel the same night. I was so very inspired, that soon after when I came back to India, i joined SDIPA (Shiamak’s leading dance institute). The first day when I arrived at the Dance Studio in Bangalore, there was a group of about 20 people in the Beginners class. I didn’t know much of dancing then, or what I was getting into. BUT now I can’t describe the way how all the steps, and the moves come together to the music being played. I’ve been taking dance lessons whenever i get time off from office schedules with and have been performing since then.
It is never too late to start dancing! I started when I was 26 and I’m now 33, taking Latin and Ballroom dance classes and believe me I'm loving every single bit of it.
These days, all those vibrant videos of dance, am sure tempt everyone. So, even if it’s just for fun, we all should do it because we get a lot of benefits out of it: exercise, fun, coordination and balance. The energy dance gives us by pumping the heart effectively and adding extra beats to your pulse is definitely great. gives great amounts of pleasure and excitement, Dance helps you to express yourself to the fullest. If you know to how dance, then it will definitely boost your confidence level.
What most people don’t know is that learning the dance can be as easy as listening to the music and letting yourself get carried away with it. The dance begins with a beat and ends with a beat, which your body can hear and move to. It then makes your body moves with the flow of the sound...
Meeting new people, or as Nokia says it better “Connecting People” is always a good thing for us. We start needing the touch and feel of others around us from our birth. As you all know that people who are outgoing are healthier, and lead more productive professional and personal lives. It is interesting to know that the gyration of the hips while dancing is extremely fun and uplifting.
So, my modest proposal is:
We should have dance classes arranged in the office, and also encourage our friends to join one. This way all our friends and colleagues will have fun at work and in their free time, will get motivated, stay fit and have have great time during the dance class!
